Ferguson’s Angel Bear Christmas Campaign is an award winning
community service project with the mission of helping local families in need
during the holiday season. The Angel Bear Christmas Campaign began back in
1996. This year will mark the 17 year of Angel Bear!
The success of the Angel Bear Christmas Campaign is part of
Fergie Bears charitable work in the community. Fergie Bear saw the need to
provide toys and gifts to Oklahoma’s neediest children and soon began building
the foundation for Angel Bear. For 17 years the campaign has helped bring
smiles to thousands of young boys and girls, and for whole families in Green
Country, who don’t have a whole lot to celebrate during the holiday season.
In previous years, Fergie Bear would place Angel Trees at
Ferguson Superstore and at other locations around Tulsa that hung “wish lists” for
needy children and adults. However, through logistical difficulties the Angel
Trees are no longer used during the campaign. Although there’s no more Angel
Trees during the Angel Bear Campaign, there are still families with children that won't get a gift for Christmas, and the Angel Bear Campaign is continuously determined to
help those in need, with your help. You can still donate toys and gifts at Ferguson Superstore.
This year’s Angel Bear Campaign ends on December 20th.
The campaign would not be possible without the help of our community and local sponsors. Every year the Union
Public Schools Drive and Angel Light Christmas Drive in Okmulgee help donate a
significant amount of toys and gifts. Without the help
of our sponsors the Angel Bear program would not be able to help spread the
Christmas joy to those in need. This year’s sponsors include: Broken Arrow Optimist
Club, United States Marines Toys for Tots, Senator Bell Brown, Sharon King
Davis, Dr. Clarence Oliver, and Bethel Collision Center.
You can make a donation at Ferguson Superstore at 1501 N.
Elm Place, Broken Arrow, OK. Please make a generous today and help someone in
need for the holiday seasons. Help make the holidays brighter for a family in
need. Contact Clint Walden at 918-378-3154 if you have questions and would like to donate.
